------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MY HEART WILL TAKE ME THERE SOONevery so often bennett would find himself on the beach. it wasn't hard to find the beach. it was an island, thus like seventy-five percent beach. you think after a while a person could get sick of the sand and water--how bland a sight--but no, not bennett. he enjoyed the beach and he would often take time to go, to sit on the beach and daydream just a little. of what was beyond the large expanse of open ocean. something was there, a whole different world that bennett wanted, needed to see. alas, twas not to be. yet. the time would come eventually and bennett couldn't wait for it. today was one of those lazier days. a day off from his various odd jobs, for once in his life, and he had no idea what to do with himself. he didn't want to bug anyone or put anyone out by gracing them with his presence, yet he was...bored. he was hardly ever bored. it was a horrid feeling. he did not like it one bit. so he decided the beach would be the best place to put himself for the day. he wasn't expecting to run into anyone he knew, though that's what he was secretly hoping. the weather was fairly nice, as it always was. after all, the place was rather tropical. bennett could remember weather that wasn't like this, but he wasn't sure from where. considering he'd never left the island before his entire life. at least he didn't think he ever did, he couldn't very well remember being anywhere else. yet the feeling remained that he knew what "cold weather" technically was. not the cold weather of the island, but somewhere where it actually snowed. it was his intention to simply relax on the beach, if relax was even in his vocabulary. (he really wasn't sure) yet, relaxing was boring, and he needed someone to talk to. be it luck or perhaps fate, he swear he saw someone he knew. well, he knew a lot of people on the island, most of them not big fans of his; not that he could honestly blame them or anything. but this was melody. she would be happy to see him, or so he would hope. there was no second thought as he bounded up to her, a large childish grin lighting up his face. "melody, love!" he hoped he didn't frighten her. he did sort of come out of no where. "enjoying a day at the beach?" an obvious question, but it was better than saying something to the effect of "oh my god i'm bored you need to hang out with me before i explode." le tag: melody and dream~ lyrics: beyond the sea - bobby darin <3 words: 448. notes: sorry if this is suckish, dear.

Melody was wearing a pair of jean shorts and an overly large white t-shirt as she stood on the beach, with the water washing over her toes. Giggling every now and then. She had hoped that by coming to the beach, she could get some of her memories back, but it didnt seem to help, so now she was just daydreaming.
Melody squealed when she heard the voice behind her, she didnt really recognize who it was but she was happy someone was here, so she could talk to them. She turned around and literally jumped on him, wrapping her arms and legs around him like he was a tree. "Hi!!" She said enthusiastically. She looked at the guy for a moment and then realized that she knew who he was. "Bennett!" She giggled, not getting off him. "The water is really warm" She said in answer to his question, even though her answer didnt really make sense with his question.
She looked over her shoulder at the water and saw a dolphin jump. "Ohhhhh a dolphin!" She watched the animal for a little bit before it dissapeared. She frowned for a moment and then let go of bennett, falling onto her butt in the sand with a laugh. She stood up and grinned at him. "So what bring you to the beach?"She asked curiously.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MY HEART WILL TAKE ME THERE SOONslightly unexpected, but appreciated. melody jumped into his arms and clung to him for dear life. her enthusiasm would never cease to amaze him. he laughed, embracing her more so to keep her from falling flat on her butt than anything else, though he wasn't opposed to giving hugs. she was just that adorable that she deserved hugs. he really did enjoy melody's company, her enthusiasm and energy. he felt old compared to her, though. not quite age wise, as bennett wasn't old, really, but just when it came down to pure energy. bennett was no where near as energetic and he felt so slow when melody was around. at least he was the more responsible one...kind of. when he had to be. better to keep her out of trouble than let her hurt herself. "oh, is it? y'been swimming, hm?" he let go and she slipped, falling on her butt, which he had hoped to prevent before, but she seemed to find it more funny than anything. "i don't really know what m'doing, to be quite honest," he answered. he was just at the beach. he didn't think ahead. he never really did. he just...did things, and hoped for the best outcome. and hey, whaddya know, the best outcome happened. he ran into one of his friends and she seemed happy to see him. serendipity was a strange, fantastic thing. "are you here alone, melody dear?" he was hoping she would say yes so they could gallivant around the beach together. he needed to do some gallivanting. they could go shopping or something entertaining. women liked to shop, right? he reached out to help melody up, ever the gentleman. le tag: melody and dream~ lyrics: beyond the sea - bobby darin <3 words: 228. notes: short short short.
